Ebi Chili

While Ebi Chili is a Japanese dish, it actually started out in China but has been changed to fit the common Japanese palate.

Preparation Time: 35 minutes

Ingredients:

10 ounces shrimp, shelled and deveined

1 tablespoon potato starch

1 tablespoon sake

Pinch of salt

Pinch of white pepper

2 teaspoon Doubanjiang (use any chili sauce as a substitute)

1 teaspoon sugar

2 tablespoon ketchup

1 teaspoon sesame oil

½ cup chicken stock

1 inch ginger, finely chopped

2 cloves of garlic, finely chopped

1 scallion, finely chopped
